- It is time to find “Defragment now…” (Windows 7 OS) or “Optimize”. (Windows 10) under the ‘Tools’ tab and click.
5. Clean the hard disk drive

- Under Virtual memory click on ‘Change’.
- Now from the new ‘Virtual Memory’ window uncheck the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives checkbox.
- Now under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file.
- Select ‘Custom size’ radio button, enter the Initial size and Maximum size in MB.
- Click Ok.
13. Replace the old hard disk drive
Sometime the above tips will not work for your computer. In that, cases you need to check your hard disk drive. The normal hard disk drive has a life span, and the hard drive performance decreases with time. If your hard drive is aged, then it is time to buy a new hard drive for your computer.
A new hard drive will speed up computer performance. I suggest you buy SSD (Solid State Drive), which will give you better performance than the older HDD. SSD is faster than the normal HDD (Hard Disk Drive).
