World Environment Day or Eco Day
5th June, the world celebrates this day as a World Environment Day every year. World Environment Day is also known as Eco Day. In 1972 World Environment Day was established by the United Nation general assembly. World Environment Day or Eco Day to take action to protect our environment and raising awareness.
The first World Environment Day
The first world environment day was celebrated in 1974. The theme was ‘Only One Earth’.
World Environment Day 2020
The theme is “Time for the nature”. We must care about our nature. It is time to take action. This is the time to raise voices to build a better healthy world. Colombia will host the World environment day 2020.
World Environment Day 2019
Now the world environment day is celebrated in more than 100 countries. China hosted the World environment day 2019. The theme for 5th June 2019 was “Beat Air pollution”.
We can take care of our planet by reducing air pollution. We can’t stop breathing, but we can do something about the quality of our air. It is our responsibility for preserving and enhancing the environment.

In 2018 India was the host nation to celebrate world environment day. The theme for 2018 was “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
World Environment Day 2017
Canada hosted World Environment Day in 2017. The theme was “Connecting People to Nature“

The host country was Angola. The theme was “Go wild for life“.

The theme was “Seven Billion Dreams. One planet. Consume with care“. Italy hosted World Environment Day in 2015.

In 2014 Barbados hosted World Environment Day. The theme was “International Year of Small Islands Developing States“(SIDS).

The theme was “Think.Eat.Save.“. The host country was Mongolia.

Brazil hosted the Eco Day in the year 2012. The theme was “Green Economy“.

In the year 2011 India was the host nation. India hosted World Environment Day 2011 for the first time with the theme “Forest-Nature at your service“.
